Raising It's
not just about fun, it's not just about making history - it's about making a difference!
The inspirational
work of Brass Band Aid continues to be acknowledged by bandspeople
across the world. It is this drive and enthusiasm that acted
as the catalyst for the creation of The Big Blow event.
The brain-child of
Jon Handley of R & J Handley Uniforms and
Tor Designs
Ltd, The Big Blow is an
event set up to help make a difference to people's lives. In
support of the relentless fund-raising work of Brass Band Aid
for their school project in Adet, Ethiopia together with
their recent 'Sponsor A Child' promotion, The Big Blow event is
aimed at raising a substantial amount of money which can then be
channeled to assist the same communities.
Sponsor A Child
Recent press coverage about Brass Band Aid and The Big Blow
event
promoted the new initiative of the charity and this specific event
to focus on 'Sponsoring A Child'. To this end, it is hoped
that The Big Blow event will raise enough money to sponsor two
children for at least 5 years each. This commitment not only
ensures the children receive a structured education, but the
community from which they come also benefits from the financial
support and assistance the sponsorship generates.
With just £5,000
the lives of two children and their communities can be
dramatically improved for a significant period that can help mould
their future for years thereafter. Help make The Big Blow make that
difference.
